Role OverviewThe Process Safety Management Specialist will provide leadership, coordination, and technical guidance to improve process safety performance. The role requires a strong understanding of Process Safety Management principles, risk-based decision making, and related process safety frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and collaborative professional dedicated to advancing Process Safety Management activities to effectively support ArcelorMittal Calvert’s business objectives.
What You Will Do
The Process Safety Management Specialist will provide support for the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the site’s Process Safety Management program. This includes coordinating Process Hazard Analyses, HAZOPs, LOPAs, What-If Reviews, and Management of Change activities, as well as monitoring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and recognized good engineering practices.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Safety, Reliability, Operations Management, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 5-10 years of manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, reliability, operations, or process safety experience
- Strong understanding of Process Safety Management principles, risk-based decision making, OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, CCPS Risk-Based Process Safety, and related process safety frameworks
- Excellent facilitation, communication, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis and process improvement tools
