Job Description
This position is responsible for coordinating and directing the work of assigned shop employees to meet production schedules and goals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in steel fabrication and a high school degree or equivalent.

Requirements

  • Advise Foreman/Manager on manpower, material, equipment, and other resources necessary to meet production schedules and requirements
  • Plan and coordinate the work of assigned shop personnel
  • Train and assist personnel in the fabrication/processing/loading of structural and miscellaneous steel
  • Perform normal maintenance, upkeep, and recordkeeping on all structural and plate processing equipment
  • Identify shop drawing/cutting list/load list/inventory errors and discrepancies before or during early stages of fabrication
