Procurement Analyst Level I

The Procurement Analyst Level I will provide comprehensive support across all Facilities Management Division (FMD) functions, including developing and coordinating procurement documents, monitoring contract lifecycles, and maintaining procurement trackers. The role reports to the Budget & Procurement Director and requires expertise in purchasing, procurement, and contract administration. The FMD is responsible for the maintenance and oversight of NYPD buildings, implementation of capital projects, and management of critical facility-related functions.

What You Will Do

The Procurement Analyst Level I will assist in developing and coordinating procurement documents, monitor contract lifecycles, maintain procurement trackers, process payments, and track budget availability. The role also involves preparing reports, memos, and presentations highlighting procurement trends and risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless procurement execution.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university, and 12 months of satisfactory, full-time professional experience in procurement of goods, services, construction or construction-related services, or professional, technical or administrative experience in contract negotiation/management
• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above
• A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2" or "3" above
