Role OverviewThe Procurement Buyer will be responsible for quoting and placing POs for custom tooling, equipment, and other miscellaneous items through global vendors. The role will also include basic project and asset management.

Typical duties will include compiling prints, requesting quotes, placing POs, communicating with vendors, following up on delivery dates, and coordinating shipping for equipment.

Requirements
- 2 – 5 Years' experience in similar Purchasing role in a highly technical industry
- Professional knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to quickly learn job-specific software packages
- Experience procuring technical components and industrial equipment
- Knowledge and understanding of terms and conditions
- Mechanical print reading skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and people skills
- Detail-oriented and concerned with timely handling of requests
- Project Management training or experience is a plus
- Strong math skills
- Solidworks and Solidworks PDM or other CAD software knowledge a plus for accumulation of drawing packages
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience procuring from machine shops is preferred
