Role OverviewThe main purpose of this position is in the procurement of equipment, services, construction supplies, information technology and other needs of the Department of Maryland State Police.
What You Will Do
Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions, determines minimum vendor requirements, negotiates prices, and resolves issues with contractors.

Strong preference will be given to applicants who possess experience in procurement, Smartsheet and Google Docs, and a current Procurement Professional Certificate.
Requirements
- Six years of experience in contract management or procurement
- Two years of experience in contract management or procurement involving duties such as soliciting, evaluating, negotiating and awarding contracts
- Four years of professional contract management experience or professional procurement experience
- Certification as a Procurement Professional from the Maryland Department of General Services
