Role Overview

The Procurement & Product Strategy Manager is responsible for managing the acquisition, allocation, and program designation of food and essential products used in our work to reduce child hunger in the U.S. This includes managing purchase of product through vendor vetting, bid solicitation, purchase approvals, and ordering as well as working closely with colleagues to determine program-appropriate use for current and incoming inventory.

What You Will Do

The Manager is responsible for planning, forecasting, and managing program product budgets in close partnership with program, supply chain, and finance leaders, ensuring that product investments are aligned with program design, scale, and impact timelines. The Manager serves as a core integrator between impact strategy, donor relations, and supply chain execution, translating impact goals into clear product requirements, purchasing decisions, and inventory controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, nonprofit management, public health, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in procurement (including relationships in the food industry), supply chain, product sourcing, or gift-in-kind management
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost-analysis skills
  • Ability to translate program plans into actionable product and spending strategies
  • Experience within mission-driven, humanitarian, or nonprofit organizations
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
