Role Overview

The Product Engineer is responsible for front-end product design for a diverse line of fluid transfer products. This role will collaborate with fellow engineers and product management to develop new products or make significant changes to existing products from initial design and prototyping to testing and production.

What You Will Do

Use CAD to create detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, and 2D drawings. Help manage project plans, be accountable for project deadlines and product cost targets, and lead cross-functional teams. Build, test, and refine prototypes to ensure safety, functionality, durability, reliability, and regulatory objectives are met.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to clearly communicate technical information, and proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software are required. Experience in a manufacturing facility with exposure to fluid handling equipment is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • 3—5+ years of experience in design or application engineering, manufacturing support, or product engineering
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling software (Creo and Windchill preferred)
  • Knowledge of product development processes and tools (stage-gate, FMEA, DFMA, etc.)
  • Experience with the engineering change process and ERP systems (creating and updating item masters and bills of material)
  • Familiarity with industry standards and manufacturing processes
