Requirements

  • Establish priorities of orders and create detailed schedules of start and finish times for each production run
  • Order floor stock and coordinate with supply chain and quality control to ensure raw materials are received and released on time
  • Maintain inventory of released raw materials and parts needed to complete production and monitor floor inventory
  • Confer with value stream management to coordinate changes to product or product packaging
  • Establish cost, efficiency, and safety key performance indicators for continuous improvement goals
  • Escalate issues as necessary to ensure that production plans are properly integrated and achievable
  • Communicate with operators and department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
  • Keep track of production in real time and compile reports concerning progress of work, production delays, and downtime
  • Assist on production floor as needed to ensure material flow is optimized
  • Use SAP inventory to track and locate raw materials, intermediates, and finished product
  • Maintain material locations in an orderly manner
  • Perform Production Supervisor backup duties as directed
  • Fill in and act as backup to Production Supervisors as directed
  • Provide task direction to team members in collaboration with management
