Production Support Engineer

Join our Manufacturing and Production Team as a Production Support Engineer. You'll be part of a cross-functional team leading IonQ on its journey to build the world's best quantum computers. You'll serve as a critical engineering anchor for our production floor, supporting production technicians as they build, integrate, and test highly complex quantum computing hardware.

What You Will Do

Provide real-time engineering support to production technicians, investigate failures, review and update assembly documentation, design and procure fixtures, and ensure the production line has necessary tooling and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 2+ years of experience in a hands-on production, manufacturing, or hardware development environment
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware issues on the fly in a high-tech manufacturing setting
• Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, CAD models, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with technicians on the floor and communicate effectively with manufacturing and design engineers
