Role OverviewJBS is seeking an hourly Production Team Member to join the production floor as general laborers. The role involves working in an area where livestock is being killed, working in temperatures near or below freezing, and working in areas with unpleasant odors. The team member will be responsible for performing various tasks, including lifting, pulling, or pushing 50 lbs, working with sharp knives or a cutting tool, and working in extreme heat. The position requires the ability to work overtime when necessary, work day and nights, and work Saturdays.
What You Will Do
The Production Team Member will be responsible for using an assortment of knives, steel, and a hook to perform job tasks, keeping the knife sharp, operating heavy equipment, bagging and boxing product, and adhering to JBS specifications in product to ensure quality of meat. The team member will also be responsible for inspecting meat or meat products and/or packaging, staying aware of surroundings, and notifying a supervisor if a hazard is recognized.
