Role OverviewThe Program Assistant provides essential 24-hour awake coverage and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shelter. This position is responsible for the welfare, safety, and comfort of shelter guests, as well as daily support to the shelter guests. The PA works closely with clients, case managers, and other essential shelter staff to ensure that guests' needs are met with dignity and care.
What You Will Do
Assures that Daily/Weekly/Monthly schedule of housekeeping maintenance tasks are completed, assigns volunteer tasks to guests, ensures the safety and security of guests, and responds to potential emergencies. Also, assists clients with daily activities of living, maintains accurate records, and mediates interpersonal conflicts.
