Job Description
The Program Assistant-Parent Engagement position manages projects and activities to implement a parent engagement service delivery system. Responsibilities include coordinating family engagement services, planning and delivering Family Engagement training, and evaluating and developing trainings/workshops to help parents/families participate more effectively in school readiness activities.
Requirements
Associate’s degree in child development or closely related field
Minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience providing direct services to low income children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds
Experience in the design, planning, and implementation of parent engagement activities
Capability to communicate with persons from diverse backgrounds
Prior experience with community based groups and/or parent groups
Experience as a trainer
