Job Description
The Program Assistant-Parent Engagement position manages projects and activities to implement a parent engagement service delivery system. Responsibilities include coordinating family engagement services, planning and delivering Family Engagement training, and evaluating and developing trainings/workshops to help parents/families participate more effectively in school readiness activities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in child development or closely related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience providing direct services to low income children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Experience in the design, planning, and implementation of parent engagement activities
  • Capability to communicate with persons from diverse backgrounds
  • Prior experience with community based groups and/or parent groups
  • Experience as a trainer
