Role Overview

The Program Associate, Administrative Enforcement will perform administrative functions under general supervision, with some latitude for independent initiative and judgment. The role involves performing targeted outreach to customers, collaborating with other DOB units, providing technical assistance, and reviewing certificates of correction. The position requires adequate customer service, processing correspondence, and maintaining general files. The Program Associate will also research and respond to Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and subpoena requests, as necessary.

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Program Associate, Administrative Enforcement include performing targeted outreach to customers, collaborating with other DOB units, providing technical assistance, reviewing certificates of correction, and making recommendations and/or referrals when dealing with difficult or special cases. The position also involves providing adequate customer service, processing correspondence, and maintaining general files.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • Two years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
  • One year of experience in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty
