Role OverviewThe Program Director manages career preparation, career exploration, personal and career counseling, and career transition readiness, ensuring compliance with DOL guidelines and The Bizzell Group policies. This includes supervising staff, performing outreach activities, developing referral linkages, and monitoring departmental budgets.
What You Will Do
The Program Director plans, organizes, and measures work activities, supervises employment activities, ensures approved curriculum is taught, and promotes a positive Job Corps image. They also develop referral sources, monitor counseling case notes, and analyze data to identify performance trends.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high level of communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire students effectively. Experience in Job Corps Management is preferred, but other managerial experience is considered.
Requirements
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications
- Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs
- Strong knowledge of the subject area of instruction and academic teaching practices
- High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
