Role Overview

The Program Director manages all aspects of the after-school program, ensuring a quality educational and youth development experience for participants. They develop and maintain relationships with school staff, coordinate programming, and determine ongoing needs of students, parents, and school staff.

What You Will Do

The Program Director will manage staff, develop instructional plans, arrange trainings, and prepare for program evaluation. They will also build relationships with parents, purchase materials, and supervise staff schedules.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or five + years equivalent experience
  • A minimum of one year successful experience teaching in an educational environment
  • A minimum of two years successful experience supervising staff
  • Knowledge of effective teaching methods and curriculum development
  • Ability to design programs to meet the learning needs of middle school students
  • Clear background check and history indicating fitness to work with children
  • Negative TB Test
  • Current CPR/1st Aid certification
