Role Overview

The Program Director will provide leadership and operational oversight for all Respite Care programs and related functions. They will monitor program outcomes, family and staff feedback, and service quality, and implement improvements to strengthen program effectiveness. The Program Director will also manage the intake and enrollment process for new program participants and ensure the organization maintains compliance with all child care licensing regulations.

What You Will Do

The Program Director will oversee the administration of Colorado Shines and Universal Preschool (UPK), respond to program incidents, and represent Respite Care through community outreach and events. They will also supervise, coach, and develop program staff through regular supervision and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Commitment to Respite Care's mission, philosophy, and values
  • Meet the Colorado Large Child Care Center Director qualifications or obtain qualification as required
  • Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience managing teams, supervising staff, and overseeing program operations
  • Understanding of staff structure and ownership of organizational responsibilities and decisions
  • Expert in team building and conflict resolution
  • Experience managing and implementing organizational/business goal
  • Industry knowledge: strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations for licensed child care center or willing to become an expert on the topic
  • Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field is highly preferred
  • Public speaking/ability to speak/advocate about Respite Care in the community at booths, schools, events
