Job Description
The Office of Building Water System Oversight (BWSO) is seeking a Program Analyst Lead to support the agency's mission to prevent waterborne illness caused by poorly maintained or improperly managed water systems. The successful candidate will lead efforts to monitor, analyze, and improve data systems related to emerging waterborne diseases, with a particular focus on Legionella.

Requirements

  • Lead analytic projects to identify risk factors for waterborne diseases in the built environment systems
  • Serve as a lead investigator for Legionella clusters and outbreaks
  • Respond to waterborne disease emergencies, including outbreaks and clusters
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on environmental aspects of waterborne diseases
  • Coordinate with public health laboratories to analyze environmental data trends
  • Design and implement standardized data collection and data cleaning processes
  • Train and support staff on data collection protocols, tools, and best practices
  • Act as a liaison with government agencies, private organizations, and general public stakeholders
