Role Overview

The Program Manager-Insurance will work under the supervision of the Deputy Director, Insurance Compliance, to review and approve insurance documents, ensure accuracy and proper processing, and provide support to staff, providers, and insurance companies. The role involves ensuring compliance with NYC Law Department requirements and DYCD policy and procedures. The Program Manager will also be responsible for submitting and tracking certificates of insurance, reviewing and uploading approved certificates, and providing technical support to providers.

The main responsibilities of the Program Manager-Insurance include reviewing and approving certificates of insurance, ensuring compliance with established policy and procedures, submitting and tracking certificates, and providing technical support to providers. The role also involves working with the Mayor's Office of Operations, Central Insurance Program, and utilizing Passport and the Contract Management System for obtaining budget information.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • Two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • At least one year of experience as described in '1' above
