Program Manager

The Program Manager manages projects within the Dust wipe Unit and notifies the Assistant Director when/if issues arise that require Senior Management intervention. The role involves administrative tasks, planning, and field visits to monitor dust wipe inspections activity. The Program Manager supports the Assistant Director in documenting and enforcing policies, procedures, and systems to meet City and Agreement compliance requirements.

What You Will Do

The Program Manager will handle administrative tasks related to staff management, ensure proper planning and scheduling of office and Dust Wipe Technicians assignments, conduct periodic field visits, research and resolve inquiries from property management office and vendors, and perform other tasks as needed to support and improve overall operations of Inspection units.

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing projects, ensuring compliance with City and Agreement requirements, and providing support to the Assistant Director.

Requirements

• Six years of full-time experience performing one or a combination of the following: masonry, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, or ironwork; or in charge of the maintenance and repair of multiple dwellings for a real estate management organization; or performing field inspections requiring the gathering and reporting of data concerning the physical aspects of housing or of building construction or renovation.
• At least four years of experience, as described above, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, plus sufficient education in an accredited college or technical school in subjects directly related to the above or education towards a baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, engineering technology, construction technology, or architectural technology.
• Completion of at least three years of apprenticeship in housing inspection plus either sufficient experience as described above, at least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, to make up the remaining equivalent of the required total of six years of experience or at least one year of supervisory experience as described above and sufficient education as described in the second option.
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college plus two years of additional experience as described above at least one year of which must have been supervisory experience as described above.
• One year of supervisory experience, as described above, plus either an approved five year apprenticeship program in housing inspection or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, engineering technology, architectural technology, or construction technology.
