Role OverviewThe NYC Department for the Aging seeks a dynamic, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Program Officer in the Bureau of Community Services, Older Adult Centers Division. The Program Officer will oversee assigned caseloads, provide technical assistance, and conduct assessments to ensure compliance with Department standards and contract requirements.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include overseeing caseloads, providing written and verbal information, conducting on-site assessments, interpreting agency policy, and recommending improvements to assigned aging services providers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree and three years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in social services, community relations, public administration, or management. Experience as a Program Officer may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
