Program Security Officer

The Program Security Officer will ensure full-scope program support and compliance in Layton, UT, by overseeing the processing of new employee security clearances, administering security education and training programs, and conducting periodic self-inspections. The role requires strong communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to identify issues and develop solutions. The Program Security Officer will also be responsible for maintaining all security documentation and files accurately, communicating security procedures to employees and subcontractors, and providing guidance and assistance to project managers and staff in meeting security requirements.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Program Security Officer include providing oversight of the processing of new employee security clearances, conducting periodic Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other government agency self-inspections, communicating security procedures to employees and subcontractors, and maintaining all security documentation and files accurately.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with a BA degree, or 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. The candidate must have a Top Secret clearance, experience with DOD processes and procedures or an equivalent regulatory environment, and a complete understanding of NISPOM, DoD Security Manuals, and COMSEC. The ability to work independently and in a team, and to initiate and plan projects and analyze and interpret data, is also essential.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a BA degree
• 9+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Top Secret clearance
• Experience with DOD processes and procedures or an equivalent regulatory environment and/or military training
• Complete understanding of NISPOM, DoD Security Manuals, COMSEC
• Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems
• Strong communication, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to initiate and plan projects and analyze and interpret data
• Ability to produce appropriate clear, concise and detailed documentation
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Completion of FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum
• Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification a plus
• SIMS database experience preferred

• Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000
