Role Overview

The Program Specialist II performs moderately complex consultative services and technical assistance work under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The role involves performing an array of technical, training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities related to program assignment.

What You Will Do

The Program Specialist II will perform comprehensive reviews of literature, statutes, rules, and/or policies and prepares administrative reports, studies, and specialized research projects. They will provide support and collaborate in the planning, development, implementation, analysis, and documentation of an agency program.

Requirements

  • One year of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency
  • Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position
  • Six months of full-time in-service TWC experience classified as a Program Specialist I or Program Supervisor I with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications
