Role Overview

The Program Specialist III provides professional level recommendation reports to the Juvenile Court Judges, maintains professional relationships with various child welfare stakeholders and the public, and facilitates citizen review boards which review the cases of children in out-of-home care.

What You Will Do

Prepare and schedule assigned cases, provide notice to interested parties, coordinate the exchange of information during each review, develop and distribute the recommendation report for the court and all interested parties, recruit potential board members, and develop professional relationships with case managers, board members, and other community service providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, court administration, social science or a related field
  • Two years' experience in a related field
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Adeptness in performing multi tasks
  • Knowledge of Arizona laws, policies and procedures pertaining to foster care and the operation of the Foster Care Review Boards
  • Knowledge of the Arizona Department of Child Protective Services policies and procedures
