Role Overview

The Program Specialist supports New Futures, the Education Center, Case Management, Family Resource Center and Parent Child Plus programming through data collection and analysis to support family and student outcomes, and development of internal systems to improve communication and shared successes.

What You Will Do

Support staff, programming, and communication through data collection and entry, provide data analysis for reporting and grant writing, and support the Program Director with grant reports and stakeholder presentations.

Requirements

  • BA Degree in Education, Social Work or related field, or equivalent training and experience
  • Two years of successful experience working within diverse communities and/or school systems
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and program evaluation practices
  • Commitment to the Vision, Values and Mission of the organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities in a culturally relevant way
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting, with proven ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse economic, educational and cultural backgrounds
  • Proven effective organizational skills, written and verbal communication, record keeping and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of educational systems and resources; and direct service providers and community resources in the Seattle area
  • Fluent in Spanish, Somali, or Amharic preferred
  • Valid Washington driver’s license and proof of auto insurance; access to reliable transportation required
  • Permit and pass a criminal and professional background check
