Role OverviewThe Programmer/Analyst III is responsible for all computer network administration and operation activities at the Program Management Office (PMO) and 9 Campus Project Sites. This role performs complex duties related to the installation and maintenance of computer networks and communication hardware and software applications. The role is also accountable for the effective operation of IT disaster recovery systems and providing support for Level 2 & 3 tier helpdesk tickets.
What You Will Do
Configures, manages, and provides technical networking support for physical and virtual environments. Installs and configures client and server network software, and performs software upgrades as needed. Proactively monitors and identifies network and system issues and takes corrective action to ensure efficient network and computing operation.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and current Windows Servers and Internet protocols. Experience with VPN Appliances, Cisco Meraki Appliances, and network security is also preferred.
Requirements
- 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college with a degree in computer science or related field
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and current Windows Servers and Internet protocols
- Experience with VPN Appliances and Cisco Meraki Appliances
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity and privacy principles
