Job Description
The Programmer position at the Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention is responsible for creating application programing interfaces, database stored procedures, and software security compliance, as well as developing technical reports and providing project status updates. The position requires advanced knowledge of web technologies, SQL, and programming languages such as Python,.NET, and C#.

Requirements

  • Create application programing interfaces using web technologies to integrate with agency applications and shared services
  • Create database stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers application in MS SQL and relational databases
  • Utilize secured software methodologies to develop and maintain software security compliance and prepare project plans detailing the necessary tasks and schedules
  • Provide the status of assigned projects on written reports or at meetings and develop technical reports for users that provide an overview description of the proposed computer system
  • Advanced degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Science, Economics, Public Policy or a related field
  • Proven proficiency in SQL, Python, or.NET programming
  • Hands-on experience with statistical, simulation, and optimization tools
  • Strong logical reasoning and a solid understanding of data requirements for front-line usage
  • Experience implementing high-level quantitative research and mathematical modeling initiatives
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of User Interface design and a strong understanding of Databases (MongoDB and MS SQL)
  • Experience with C#,.NET 4.0/4.5, MVC, ADO.net, Web Services/Web APIs, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Microsoft SQL 2012/2016, WPF, MVVM, and XAML, and PHP/ASP/CSS/ Python,.Net/.Net core,.Net(4.5, 4.7, 4.8),.Net Core(1.x,2.x,3.x) frameworks, Single Page Applications (SPAs), Telerik UI, Node Js, React JS, MS Azure webjobs, logic apps, Blob storage client library v12/v11 for.NET Frameworks, and Microsoft identity platform for Authentication and Authorization
