Role Overview

The Project Accountant 1 will be responsible for client invoicing, collections management, and project budgeting, as well as backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reports. The role will also involve conducting accurate contract documentation, administration, and maintenance, including fee and budget entry, and working with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues.

The Project Accountant 1 will perform tasks such as client invoicing, collections management, project budgeting, contract documentation, and financial issue resolution. The role will also involve assisting multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook
