Role OverviewThis position supports LIS' New York's language portfolio. The individual will be primarily responsible for sourcing, vetting and coordinating interpreters for conferences, meetings, events; processing interpreter timesheets; working with LIS' personnel management system and going onsite as needed to source interpreters and to support the customer.
What You Will Do
Recruit, vet and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified, local interpreters. Monitor, receive, and promptly respond to client tasking via email and other platforms with professional voice/tone free of slang, grammatical errors, informal language, etc. Maintain, update, audit, and manage company databases and records systems, including data entry, in real time.

Must reside in close proximity to NYC and be able to attend regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings within the five boroughs. Must be able to pass a background check. Ability to provide after hour desk support.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant professional project administration/coordination experience
- VERY STRONG computer skills, including but not limited to independent proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
- Proven ability to multitask with meticulous attention to detail
- Problem assessment/sensitivity and problem solving within a team environment
- Must reside in close proximity to NYC and be able to attend regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings within the five boroughs
- Must be able to pass a background check
