Role OverviewAs a Project Controls Area Lead at HDR, you will be responsible for leading project controls efforts, supporting business group and market sector needs, and representing the area to regional and national leadership. You will work with designers, contractors, and other third-party entities to identify and resolve scope and pricing variances, and develop and enforce project controls practices and procedures.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include hosting lunch and learns, supporting general awareness initiatives, building future project controls leaders, and identifying development opportunities for staff. You will also manage and enforce adherence to project controls practices and procedures, develop and monitor key performance indicators, and report to project and program staff and client.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
- Ability to manage proposal preparation, contract review and negotiation, client relationship and win strategy for medium to large EPC Projects
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
