Project Controls Specialist II

The Project Controls Specialist II supports the Carlsbad Technical Assistance Contractor Project Controls team by overseeing, maintaining, and reporting Earned Value data for Carlsbad Field Office participants.

What You Will Do

The specialist monitors and analyzes cost, schedule, and performance data; supports integrated life cycle estimate development; prepares and reviews change control documentation; and provides pre-briefings and recommendations to Carlsbad Field Office leadership.

This role requires advanced Primavera P6 and Cobra cost management expertise to project controls activities for the Management and Operating Contractor, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories control accounts.

Requirements

• Expert-level skill in Primavera P6 schedule development and analysis
• Advanced project controls experience, including cost analysis and cost estimating practices used to monitor, report, and support solutions for delivering programs and projects on schedule and within budget in accordance with DOE Order 413.3B
• Knowledge and experience in planning, program and project baseline development and reporting, Earned Value Management, variance analysis, cost estimating and analysis, and critical path analysis
• Knowledge and experience in risk evaluation and management, contingency management, configuration control, change control, acquisition planning, and program and project integration
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and clearly and accurately convey appropriate information to individuals and groups
• Ability to produce quality results by addressing customer needs, analyzing and resolving problems, maintaining accountability for milestones, setting work-related goals and objectives, and applying innovative solutions to assigned work
