Role Overview

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Bureau of Public Affairs (BPA) within the Project Management unit. The candidate will be heavily involved with several major new strategic initiatives and will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring the production of print and promotional products supporting DSNY's programs.

What You Will Do

Manage internal and external communications, coordinate project workflows, develop and maintain project production timelines, serve as the primary liaison between the agency and contracted vendors, provide technical assistance and guidance to staff, and recommend process improvements.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities, or equivalent education and experience. The candidate must have at least one year of experience in community work or community-centered activities.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above
