Role Overview

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Data Manager and serve as a case database expert for the team, providing support for legal services programming in the provision of legal services for immigrants' resettlement journey.

Key responsibilities include working with the Data Manager, serving as a case database expert, coordinating program data maintenance, managing client referral systems, and assisting with case closures.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with immigrants and/or vulnerable populations
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with legal databases and managing dockets
  • Experience working in an office setting is preferred
  • Committed to practicing and supporting wellbeing and a work-home life balance
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population of clients in terms of age, economic status, and cultural and linguistic backgrounds
  • Experience working and communicating in a remote environment is preferred but not required
  • Experience in trauma-informed care is desirable
  • Experience and cultural competence with African immigrant communities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to succeed in a “startup” environment
  • Digital literacy and proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace products
  • Proficiency in English is required. Fluency in French, Arabic, and/or other widely spoken African languages is preferred
  • A passion for ACT’s mission and demonstrated commitment to community-centered immigrant justice

Benefits

  • Hourly pay of $25.00
  • Additional compensation negotiable based on experience
