Job Description
Project Engineer I – Substation Automation (SCADA) performs routine tasks to gain experience and familiarity with engineering staff, methods, practices, and programs. The role works under close supervision but is expected to have some level of independence with required engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • Computer networking knowledge and experience
  • Experience with Wireshark, PLC/RTU programming (SEL, Eaton, Orion, Schneider), and VBA
  • Skilled at debugging and documenting existing code, and/or creating new code
  • Experience with Networking Routing/Switching, Object Oriented coding (Structured Text, comparable to C), HMI Graphical Interface design
  • Assist in development of plans, specifications and inspection reports
  • Understanding of electrical one-lines and reading schematics
  • Ability to confidently and correctly explain technical directions to coworkers and clients
  • Performs basic functions of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel ~25% to 50%, infrequent overnight stays
