Role OverviewThe Project Engineer 1 (PE1) is responsible for the success of New Product Development Projects from CPB to the final PRO-04 phase. This involves directing the activities of a development team towards the completion of the project’s product development and launch goals. The PE1 must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
What You Will Do
Lead Product Development Teams, adhere to PRO-04, execute project planning, schedule management, and business development. Track project costs and complete project financial justifications.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful PE1 must be able to lead multi-disciplinary product teams of anywhere from 2 to 10 associates, depending on the scope of the individual projects. The PE1 is the technical communicator between Southco and the customer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- 0 - 3 years experience
- Certification: CAPM preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be analytical and self-motivated
