Job Description
A career-minded Water/Wastewater Hydraulic Modeler is needed to join JMT's fast-growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice. The selected employee will lead engineering tasks and projects in the water/wastewater field through working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes.

Requirements

  • Supporting overall Project Manager by executing project management responsibilities for hydraulic modeling assignments
  • Developing hours estimates, scope, etc.
  • Providing design status updates to the Project Manager
  • Creating, updating, and calibrating hydraulic models
  • Assessing and identifying collection/distribution system performance deficiencies
  • Preparing calculations, hydraulic models and other technical deliverables
  • Tracking the budgets of modeling task(s)
  • Executing quality control and quality assurance plans
  • Delegating project tasks to project team members
  • Coaching/mentoring design staff through the hydraulic modeling process
  • Providing consultative services to the client(s)
  • Collaborating and managing project sub-consultants and other internal disciplines
  • Developing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals
  • Performing alternative studies, evaluate impacts, develop and finalize reports for client
  • Planning, scheduling, conducting or coordinating detailed phases of the engineering work
  • Performing or checking design computations
  • Preparing and compiling contract plans, specifications and estimates
  • Coordinating with internal team members to ensure alignment and project completion
  • Providing technical oversight and guidance/support of Design Engineers within department
