Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines related to projects, ensuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. This includes designing electrical systems, selecting components, prototyping and testing, project planning and coordination, compliance and standards, documentation and reporting, troubleshooting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

What You Will Do

Design electrical systems, create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts; select components and generate project Bill of Materials (BOM); build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and performance; conduct thorough testing and evaluation of products for performance, reliability, and compatibility; prepare detailed technical documentation and maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (ABET)
  • 10 years' proven experience in the electrical engineering field
  • Three plus years' experience in electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Three plus years' experience in electrical engineering principles, circuits, and systems
  • Three plus years' experience in industry standards and regulations including NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE
  • Three plus years' experience in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and electrical design tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities

  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time
  • Ability to stoop and bend for four-plus hours
