Role Overview

The Project Engineer will support the Director of Engineering in coordinating and assisting with the design and technical development of renewable energy projects, primarily utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. This role will work closely with utility companies, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution and compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

What You Will Do

Manage and track engineering deliverables and submittals, support the review of EPC contractor deliverables, and coordinate communication between internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering are preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in engineering or related roles within the renewable energy or power generation industry
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across teams and disciplines
  • Basic understanding of engineering design principles (civil or electrical)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or power system analysis tools is a plus
  • PMP or PE certification is a plus
  • Experience working with utilities, ISOs, permitting agencies, EPC contractors, engineering firms, etc. (is a plus)
