Job Description
Role Overview

The Project Engineer will work under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager of Green Infrastructure (GI) Design and Construction, responsible for asset testing, field inspections, contract plan review, and soil subsurface analysis for green infrastructure citywide. The role involves conducting desktop and site assessments, performing various testing of GI assets, and ensuring contract progress, quality, safety, workmanship, and conformance with contract documents, NYC Standards, and applicable codes.

What You Will Do

The Project Engineer will perform porous pavement asset testing and field inspections, review maintenance logs, geotechnical reports, contract plans, and as-builts. They will also coordinate with Project Managers and porous pavement cleaning operators for maintenance, perform inspection audits, and enforce compliance with the DEP sewer use regulations.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering technology and three years of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and a master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
