As a Site Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide advice, strategies and problem solving to project personnel on all health and safety issues to achieve the goal of ‘no harm’ during the project.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes of this role include providing advice, strategies and problem solving to project personnel on all health and safety issues, promoting a culture where health and safety is a value that will never be compromised, and ensuring the implementation and support of behavior-based health and safety, Working Together Safely (WTS) and the Hatch safety information management system on the project.

We are looking for a candidate with 10 years of experience in health and safety, with at least five years on-site experience on major construction projects, and excellent interpersonal skills. A high level of computer skills, a high level of organizational skills, and a passion for continual improvement of project health and safety performance are also required. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and motivate on site project teams in health and safety.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in health and safety
  • at least five years on-site experience on major construction projects
  • experienced working with MSHA Regulations on USA Mine sites
  • excellent interpersonal skills
