Role OverviewAs a Project I, you will perform maintenance and renovation projects that support the appearance and functionality of the resort. This role requires experience with general building maintenance and a solid foundation in carpentry, including the ability to safely use woodworking tools and complete finish work with minimal supervision.
What You Will Do
Complete engineering projects, preventative maintenance, guest service requests, and resort improvement tasks. Perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry repairs, door and hardware installation, finish work, and other wood-related repairs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
One to three years of maintenance or skilled trades experience in a resort, hospitality, commercial, or construction environment preferred. Hands-on carpentry experience is required, including the ability to safely work with common carpentry tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and woodworking equipment while using appropriate PPE.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
- Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must uphold Westgate Resorts' standards of professionalism, integrity, safety, and guest service.
