Role Overview

Support the delivery of GLWA's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) through effective management of CIP projects. Manage projects throughout the project's lifecycle, from inception through close-out, including scope, schedule, cost adjustment, performance assessment, quality, risk, and safety management, continuous improvement, communication and negotiation, and change management.

What You Will Do

Manage scope, schedule, and budget for project delivery and report. Perform assessment, design, and construction tasks for water treatment, storage, and structural related facility-based projects. Communicate with and manage the project activities of all disciplines, operations, and maintenance team members.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Candidate shall be capable of supervising and mentoring junior staff and leading structural design of projects. Participate with the project team to develop realistic baseline forecasts of the overall project cost and schedule, as well as forecasts of cost and schedule to complete.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or other related discipline of study from an accredited college or university
  • Professional Engineer License in the State of Michigan OR Project Management Professional TM Certification from a recognized accredited body OR the ability to obtain one of these credentials within 12 months of joining GLWA
  • Minimum of four (4) years of project management or related experience in the field and/or job assignment
