Role Overview

HDR is looking for a Project Manager to support our nationally recognized Transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in South Carolina. This role involves leading and managing all CEI activities for major infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and trust at every step. As part of HDR's Field Services team, you'll be on the front lines of infrastructure development, from highways and bridges to water treatment plants, transit systems, and power facilities.

What You Will Do

Lead and manage all Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) activities for major infrastructure projects. Administer construction contracts, including review and processing of change orders, supplemental agreements, requests for information, and claims. Manage quality assurance and quality control programs, ensuring proper inspection, materials testing, and documentation procedures are implemented. Coordinate with various governing agencies for project compliance, support business development activities, track financial aspects of projects, and mentor CEI staff.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, 7 years related experience, and a minimum of 2 years project management experience. Preferred qualifications include 20 years of progressive experience in infrastructure inspection and administration or a licensed professional engineer in South Carolina with 15 years of experience. Candidates with experience in South Carolina Department of Transportation policies and alternative delivery projects are preferred. HDR is an employee-owned company with a collaborative culture.
