Role Overview

Federal Realty is a leader in retail real estate ownership, operation, and redevelopment. The Project Manager, Construction and Tenant Services is responsible for managing and coordinating projects within their assigned portfolio of properties, working closely with landlords, tenants, architects, consultants, and contractors.

What You Will Do

The Project Manager will drive the landlord and tenant design, permitting, and construction process, proactively perform tasks related to gathering information, manage and coordinate construction projects, and ensure coordination with Federal Realty departments, consultants, tenants, and 3rd party managers.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of tenant coordination and/or project/construction management experience, with a strong background in design and construction coordination, project management, and customer service. The Project Manager will have the ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents, solve problems, and present information effectively.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of tenant coordination and/or project/construction management experience
  • Experience with design and construction of retail properties
  • Experience with design and construction coordination and project management
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related management degree
  • PMP and LEED AP preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and proven ability to work, manage, and gain consensus with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents and solve problems
  • Experience in reading and understanding architectural drawings
  • Proven ability to perform financial analysis/reporting of construction cost
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Graphics skills are a plus
