Role Overview

The Project Manager, Programs will provide communications, policy, and programmatic support to implement and operate the work of NYC Talent. The role will work collaboratively across NYC Talent staff, City Hall staff, City agencies, and external stakeholders to build an integrated, equitable, and efficient workforce system that gets New Yorkers good jobs and supports a strong local economy.

What You Will Do

The Project Manager, Programs will manage project plans and deliverables, meet deadlines, and identify and resolve issues and challenges that arise. They will also provide administrative support, analysis, advice, and recommendations on policy and programmatic decisions, and develop and execute communications tools and strategies.

Requirements

  • baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • two years of experience in community work or community centered activities
  • high school graduation or equivalent
  • six years of experience in community work or community centered activities
  • project management skills
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency
  • experience with project management software such as Airtable
  • familiarity with design and communications tools such as Canva, Constant Contact, and social media platforms
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to interface and build partnerships with program stakeholders
  • experience with/knowledge of City government, workforce development, youth development and education, and/or government procurement
