Role OverviewJoin The AES Corporation, the largest US-based global power company, as a Project Manager for Wind. Oversee high-impact, utility-scale wind projects through development, construction, commissioning, and turnover to Operations. Manage large, complex wind projects and portfolios, and travel periodically to project locations.
What You Will Do
Actively participate in RFPs and scope of work packages for EPC and OEM partners. Conduct due diligence on potential wind project sites, review and manage EPC Contractor and OEM schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans, and permit compliance. Manage utility interconnection processes, engage with project stakeholders, and support permitting and jurisdictional approval processes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of professional experience in project management, wind energy project experience preferred. Familiarity with wind project design and technical standards, civil and structural technical knowledge, and experience with renewable project construction required. Project Management Institute PMP certification preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years professional experience in a project management role
- Wind energy project experience preferred
- Familiarity with wind project design and technical standards
- Civil and structural technical knowledge
- Experience with renewable project construction
- Project Management Institute PMP certification preferred
