Job Description
The Weitz Company is hiring a Project Safety Engineer to join our Denver, CO team! The Project Safety Engineer is responsible for creating a positive safety culture while supporting our zero injury culture, and eliminating risk and claim exposure.

Requirements

  • Conduct safety audits and inspections on assigned project site
  • Educate project team on safety through training and mentoring
  • Identify safety improvement initiatives and perform safety training
  • Investigate incidents and near misses
  • Participate in the creation of the project safety plan
  • Support administration of company safety procedures and policies
  • Assemble and maintain site safety documentation/permits
  • Assist in the analysis of project safety performance
  • Serve as a resource for safety issues or concerns
