Project Services Order Writer

The Project Services Order Writer will be responsible for translating distributor approved hollow metal submittals and hardware schedules for completeness and accuracy. They will also enter the data into Protech to generate a Curries order and enter the order data into the computer system and review for accuracy. The role requires high attention to detail, excellent computer skills, and the ability to interpret technical information.

What You Will Do

The Project Services Order Writer will perform tasks such as interpreting and entering hollow metal door & hardware schedules with accuracy, consulting the engineering team on special product requests, advising customers on technical inquiries, and communicating with customers and internal team members on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.

The ideal candidate will have a high school or GED equivalent, a minimum of 2 years of experience within the hollow metal door and frame industry, and excellent computer skills. They will also have the ability to read blueprints, interpret technical information, and work well in a team environment.

Requirements

• High School or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the hollow metal door and frame industry
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical information
• Proficient understanding of commercial door and frame hardware
• Excellent computer skills such as Word and Excel
• Excellent math and conceptual skills such as basic geometry, algebra, fractions, and metrics
• Previous experience within the building material, hardware, or construction industry and/or a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up, and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously
