Job Description
The Projections Economist plans, manages, and conducts industry and occupational projections for Maryland and local areas. The economist will develop employment forecasts, conduct statistical and economic analyses, and maintain the Labor Market Information (LMI) team's various databases.
Requirements
Manage industry and occupational projections
Collect and clean historic employment data
Customize and calibrate regression models
Monitor trends in key industries
Develop custom models of Maryland's workforce
Provide input for economic analyses and special projects
Produce public-facing documents/reports communicating labor market information
