Role OverviewLakes Gas is seeking a propane Service Technician for a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include customer service, sales, servicing, inspecting, and installing propane tanks, cylinders and appliances at residential and commercial sites.
What You Will Do
Service Technicians pump out tanks, remove and relocate tanks, perform outside equipment inspections, route, secure and install gas lines and piping and set and install tanks and meters. Service Technicians may assist branch locations by delivering propane to customer's accounts.

This CDL position involves being exposed to extreme weather environments and working a compensated on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude, and good driving skills.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
- Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
- Accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate
- Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
- DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
- Knowledge of NPFA 54 related to gas piping and appliance installation
- Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements
