Role OverviewLakes Gas is seeking a propane Service Technician for a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. The Service Technician will perform customer service, sales, servicing, inspecting, and installing propane tanks, cylinders, and appliances at residential and commercial sites.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities include pumping out tanks, removing and relocating tanks, performing outside equipment inspections, routing, securing, and installing gas lines and piping, and setting and installing tanks and meters.

The ideal candidate will be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude, and good driving skills. This CDL position involves being exposed to extreme weather environments and working a compensated on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
- A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
- Accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate
- Ability to detail all service work performed in company work orders
- Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
- DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
- Knowledge of NPFA 54 related to gas piping and appliance installation including combustion air and flue gas venting requirements
